Abstract

The article proposes a method for analyzing text in order to determine the level of conflictogenicity. The first stage of the study was to conduct an expert assessment of more than two thousand aggressive conflict messages selected by a continuous sample. These aggressive conflict messages are comments on posts in the LiveJournal published during the COVID-19 pandemic (from January 2020 to December 2022). Using the methods of linguostylistic analysis and contextual analysis, it was possible to determine verbal and non-verbal means that express the conflict in the presented contexts explicitly and implicitly. The obtained data are presented in the work and supplemented with an indication of the frequency of their implementation in the analyzed contexts. The second stage of the study is the survey and generalization of the data obtained. Conflict markers identified in the proposed contexts by respondents are presented in the paper with an indication of the number of respondents identifying this marker. The comparison of the results obtained during the first two stages made it possible to draw some conclusions, note the patterns, coincidences and discrepancies in the assessment of conflictogenicity, indicate the gradation of the degree of conflictogenicity of markers and the degree of conflictogenicity of the analyzed texts, which can form the basis of a computer program prescribed taking into account the indicated method.
