Abstract

The dramatic phenomenon of national history - the forced expulsion of their country of the color of culture - representatives of broad intellectual circles - is regarded as an occasion for discussing the deep question of the role of the educated stratum, the reflecting public in domestic socio-political life. The reasons of confrontation, mutual distrust, misunderstanding in a series of interactions of the main subjects of the civil process on the Russian soil are considered in detail. The central point is emphasized: who of all the responsible parties - the government, the people, the intelligentsia - needs a blooming nation, and who needs an obedient one?
