Abstract

This article is based on the material of the German dialects that exist on the territory of Tomsk region. The relevance of the work is dictated by the language situation of the entire community of Russian Germans, which is characterized by the loss of traditional linguocultural dominants under the influence of majoritarian contacting language formations. The novelty of the study is determined by the chosen perspective of the ongoing analysis - the focus of the analysis is shifted from dialectal systems to reflecting the properties of these systems in the minds of the speakers. The linguistic approach called perceptual in the dialectological literature and used in the work, makes it possible to develop the social, psychological and cognitive aspects of the native language of Russian Germans. At the same time, perceptual analysis also meets the conservative task of traditional dialectology, which consists in documenting local forms of language. The study was carried out on the basis of a text corpus collected by the authors of the study through independent field practices in rural areas of Tomsk region. This corpus of dialectal metalanguage discourse absorbs various kinds of speech data and allows one to discover the diverse properties of the linguistic reality perceived by the Germans. This article deals directly with the German dialectal means of nominating national languages and their varieties, which the Germans speak themselves or which they have contacted throughout their lives. Generalization and categorization of these means allow us to present in the article the most striking features of the ordinary model of the social and communicative system where the German dialect speakers reside. The national languages reflected in the model are ranked in terms of perceptual significance and described through the palette of extralinguistic properties highlighted by the ordinary consciousness.
