In the contemporary times, when the first place is taken by the non-fiction literature, it is very interesting to study and analyze texts that turn out to be on the borderline of fiction and non-fiction discourses. One of such text is a work by S. Dovlatov “Compromise”, where we can see combination of fiction and non-fiction paradigms. The article aims to fill a gap in the scientific observation of the “Compromise”, which usually was a subject of comic phenomena research. In the novel “Compromise” where journal texts are compiled with non-fiction novel abstracts, such archetypical features as autobiographical, pseudodocumental character or the motive of transformation are revealed as a result of evident interdiscoursivity. Interdicoursivity is understand as a phenomenon of mutual influence of different discourses, as it is in the Dovlatov’s “Compromise” - mutual influence of non-fiction and fiction discourses. Usually interdiscoursivity is considered as a subject of linguistics studies or stylistics. Only recently, interdiscoursivity began to be taken by the researchers as a research object in addition to intertextuality in order to observe these phenomena on the material of literary works. In the present article, as a result of such observation, special interdiscoursive archetypical features are pointed out and considered, such as the motive of transformation, which is given an additional meaning in the communist context. According to the author’s opinion, it is the aim of future researchers to find out where the communist context (or the communist discourse in a more broad view) was a kind of a nutrient medium for such type of texts and for the phenomenon of interdiscoursivity.
